In a historic moment, the UN children’s agency (UNICEF) has named the 19 years old Syrian lady Muzoon Almellehan, the education activists, to be UNICEF’s youngest GoodWill Ambassador
Ms. Almellehan was herself a refugee in AL Zaatari refugee camp, where she benefited from UNICEF ‘s education program for 18 months before resettling in the UK later on.
She is an advocate for the support of children education … girls especially.
“As a Kid, I realized very early that education is the key to a better future, thus my books were the only belongings I took with me when I had to flee from Syria,” She said in an official #UNICEF statement.
Ms. Almellehan was also on the BBC ‘s list of the inspirational and influential 100 women for 2015
From us Dubarah team we wish Muzoon all the best in her extraordinary journey of being the voice for a better education for the refugees.
